Gallagher & Co. expands its Northwestern U.S. footprint

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. acquired Mutual Insurance Services, a Federal Way, Wash.-based managing general agent and wholesale insurance broker.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1985, Mutual Insurance Services provides excess and surplus, property-casualty, professional business liability and other specialty insurance products and services to their independent insurance agent and broker clients, primarily in the Northwestern United States.

Gallagher officials say Connie Divelbiss and her associates will continue to operate from their current location under the direction of Joel Cavaness, president of Risk Placement Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
