Is Car Insurance Required in New Hampshire?

According to CarInsurance.com, most New Hampshire drivers choose to purchase the insurance.
- Deemed a 25/50/25 insurance liability state, New Hampshire drivers that opt to buy car insurance must purchase a minimum of $25,000 to cover the damages if they injure one person, $50,000 if multiple persons are injured and $25,000 to cover property damages.
- New Hampshire drivers must also purchase uninsured motorist protection if they do not opt-out of auto insurance. The state’s minimum requirements for uninsured motorist coverage are a respective $25,000 and $50,000 if one or multiple persons are injured at the hands of an uninsured driver and $1,000 minimum for medical bill coverage after an accident with an uninsured driver.
